“Pick Up” or “Pickup”

Another case of a phrasal verb that can be used as a noun is the case of the phrase “pick up.”

In this case, “pickup” is describing the kind of truck. However, this kind of truck has become so common that “pickup truck” is now often referred to as simply the noun “pickup.” Here is an example:
